'with' vs 'by'

The prepositions "by" and "with" have different meanings and uses: 

By

Used to explain who or what performed an action, or to indicate how something is done: 

Agent: "By" can refer to the agent who performed an action, such as "He was attacked by a decoit". 

Communication: "By" is used to talk about communication, such as "I will go there by bus". 

Transportation: "By" is used to talk about transportation, such as "We traveled to Delhi by aeroplane".

Information: "By" can be used to add information about someone, such as where they come from, what they do, or what characteristic they have. 

With

Used to explain what action was performed, or what was used to perform the action: 

Accompaniment: "With" shows who or what accompanied someone or something. 

Tools: "With" is used with tools or instruments, such as "You can open it with a screwdriver". 

Body parts: "With" is used with body parts, such as "We eat with our hands".
