CTET Paper 1 Syllabus (Classes 1-5)


The CTET syllabus for 2025 includes five subjects for Paper 1 (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies) and four for Paper 2 (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science). Both papers consist of 150 objective-type questions, with each subject having a specific section for content and pedagogical issues. The exam is divided into two 2.5-hour papers. 
CTET Paper 1 Syllabus (Classes 1-5)
Child Development and Pedagogy: 
Focuses on the development of elementary school children, inclusive education, and learning and pedagogy theories. 
Language-I: 
Includes reading comprehension, grammar, and pedagogy of language development. 
Language-II: 
Covers reading comprehension and pedagogy of language development, with an emphasis on learning and acquisition. 
Mathematics: 
Includes numbers, algebra, geometry, and mensuration, along with pedagogical issues related to mathematics. 
Environmental Studies: 
Covers family, community, geography, and other environmental topics.
