T-20 Cricket World Cup-2024
The ICC Men's T20 World Cup is the Twenty20 International cricket tournament, organized by the International Cricket Council (ICC) since 2007. The event has generally been held every two years. It is one of the most crowd-pulling and exciting shows on earth.
The T20 World Cup was co-hosted by the West Indies and the United States from 1 to 29 June 2024;
The tournament field expanded from 16 to 20 teams, including the two hosts. Canada and Uganda qualified for the men's T20 World Cup for the first time, while the United States participated for the first time by virtue of being co-hosts. India, England, South Africa and Afganistan qualified for the Semi-finals.
India ended their 13-year wait for an ICC Cricket World Cup trophy when they beat South Africa by seven runs(176/7-169/8) to lift the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in a thrilling final at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados. Virat Kohli was the Man of the Match. (76 runs)Jasprit Bumrah was selected the Player of the series. Arshdip Sing Was the highest wicket taker in the series(17). It was the last international T.20 match for captain Rohit Sharma and all rounder Virat Kohli and Rabindra Jadeja before their retirement. India's mesmerizing performance in the whole series will be remembered for ever. India proved their worth and invincible power in the World Cricket again.
