CTET Paper 2 Syllabus (Classes 6-8)


The CTET syllabus for 2025 includes five subjects for Paper 1 (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies) and four for Paper 2 (Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II, and either Mathematics and Science or Social Studies/Social Science). 
Both papers consist of 150 objective-type questions, with each subject having a specific section for content and pedagogical issues. The exam is divided into two 2.5-hour papers. 
CTET Paper 2 Syllabus (Classes 6-8) 
Child Development and Pedagogy: 
Topics include the development of elementary school children, inclusive education, and understanding children with special needs, along with learning and pedagogy theories. 
Language-I & Language-II: 
Similar to Paper 1, this includes reading comprehension and pedagogy of language development. 
Mathematics & Science OR Social Studies/Social Science:
Mathematics and Science: Includes areas like numbers, algebra, geometry, and science topics such as food, material, and the living world, plus pedagogical issues. 
Social Studies/Social Science: Covers history, geography, and social and political life, along with pedagogical issues for these subjects.
